persuasion

I am not good at bed rest and talked to the Dr. this am...I get to go back to prenatal swim class today! In fact he was excited about the idea because he feels it will be VERY beneficial for me and Austin :) Hoping the labetalol will let me return to work soon too because he is thinking I just have PIH which I would much rather have then Pre-E at this point.  Fingers crossed

Bedrest :(

I got put on bed rest on yesterday. my bp is 171/100 no head ache or vision changes, labs all came back great and no protein in my urine (AWSOME)! We got to see Austin yesterday because Dr. wanted to make sure he was growing well and he looks great.  Kick count is in 10 mins. right amount of fluid and he weighs 2#13oz :)

I am going crazy and haven't been as good as I should be. I really should enjoy this but I think I'm just getting more worked up because the longer I am on bed rest before pregnancy the shorter I can stay home with Austin once he gets here.

Superbowl Sunday

Superbowl Sunday and appropriate that today Austin is he size of a football. I feel like a boat but that just means healthy baby right!  I wore yellow because then I win either way Packers or Steelers

Supercross Oakland

This weekend you traveled to Oakland for supercross, mom made a shirt and 5 riders signed it in support of you :)  It was a nice get away for us but it rained most of the time we were there.  On the way home dad took the "scenic" way home but it was fun.

Tonight dad got to feel you kick...3 times, he is very excited and rubs moms belly all the time trying to feel you :)

First kick

Tonight I got to feel Austin kick for the first time. It felt like she was dropping on the roller coaster but she loves it :)  We went to gma & gpa Hawks for dinner.  We started planning your baby shower and everyone is SO excited to meet you!

ER visit

So last night after a quick bite to eat with my hubby we went to go register, perfect evening right...? well on the way home I had to pee and had a feeling I was getting another UTI. Great I thought, but not too concerned until I walked in the door and sat on the toilet. I felt like I had been punched 5 times in the back on the left side. After an hour of trying anything I could think of shower (yaked) heating pad, snoogle and cuddling in bed I was miserable. We were in the ER waiting for 2 hours before I saw the Dr. who wanted a urine sample. An hour later I got meds, another hour I was off for a kidney/bladder and check baby u/s.

Verdict...possible kidney stone and hydronephrosis (excess kidney fluid). I came home and took Tylenol since the meds they gave me in the hospital were working and I don't want to take percocet unless I have to. Rest and hydration are my discharge instructions.

We went in yesterday and I was SO sure I knew the sex of our baby, I had been told by many ppl, our initial u/s @ 13 weeks the cord was in the way but we were again told the same sex. I never had any dreams or intuition but I think I had convince myself based on everyone else's opinon and WHAM! WRONG sex, we're having a BOY, my husband is so excited! I am SO happy our child is healthy but totally blind sided and suddenly very nervous. All of the children I have been around have been girls and now I'm bringing a little man into the world. My emotions are all over the place but again I <3 my child and am so anxious to meet Austin!
