 Our friends Ashley and David threw us Cohen's baby shower and showered we were; with books and gifts for Cohen.  We couldn't be more excited to have these amazing people in our lives!  Thank you to all who came! 

 

28 weeks

On Thursday we got to see Cohen.

The Dr re-assured us that if he didn't know my previous history he wouldn't be worried about this pregnancy at all.  I'm very happy to say I did zumba 2x this week at 28 weeks.  I feel good but am starting to slow down.

26 weeks

Its been quite a busy 2 weeks!  Last weekend Chris and I went on a babymoon to San Francisco.  You may be asking what is a babymoon.  Well I wanted us to have one last trip away just us before Cohen comes.  We drove to San Francisco Saturday morning and got to AT&T park to walk around and explore.  We checked into our hotel quickly then went back to the ball park to eat...a LOT of yummy food, notice the wt gain this week :(  Sunday we hit the piers exploring before driving back.  It was a fun quick trip but just the 2.5 (Cohen) of us.

We rushed back to work on Monday to enjoy Chris turning 31 on Tuesday.  We went out with his parents to Jazz (Louisana style). 

 His birthday events continued when we got home ripping out carpet to prepare for our floor installation.

  Finally on Friday night we had floors installed and spent most of today putting the house back together.

24 weeks

I feel like these last 2 weeks and flown by and I am almost to 25 weeks (YAH!)  Most of you know I had BP problems with my first pregnancy so I have been really trying to prevent any problems this time around.  I  attend zumba Monday and Thursdays.  If for some reason I can't I try to go to Pilates on Sunday.  I have been pretty faithful until today :(  I had my 24 week check up on Tuesday and for the most part everything is great.  My BP is SLIGHTLY elevated.  This can happen in pregnancy and at 28 weeks is when I did start to notice a problem last time.  I don't need/want everyone nagging me or constantly asking about my BP because that stresses me out more.  To make matters worse I turn 29+, I mean older tomorrow.  Austin's birthday is on Wednesday and I didn't get the new position I was hoping for.  I am one to hold on to stress so I did get a massage and facial on Thursday but we have had some tragic news in our work family just adding fuel to the fire.  So instead of harassing me about my BP cook a healthy low sodium meal for me  LOL (I always enjoy a night of NOT cooking)   I did PASS my glucose tolerance test with flying colors meaning I don't currently have to worry about gestational diabetes (YAH!)  here is a belly picture taken while waiting an hour at the lab

24.2 weeks

If you don't know about this test you have to drink a super sugary orange drink and wait an hour to see what your glucose (sugar) reads.  It doesn't taste awful but its definitely not as good as the Dr. Pepper I haven't had in MONTHS!!!  So on to our survey :)

We're having a...

After much anticipation we are excited to announce "Da Bean" is a BOY.  

Cohen John looks healthy first and for most.

                                                                                                                                                      At our 13 week ultra sound we were given a "preview"of our son with a '?' because it was early and there was still a possibility of the genitalia going either way we held out until today.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers these past couple of weeks; our families are mending but  mourning the loss of those who left us in February.
